This kind of scared me a little bit. The video was so intense about the “revolution” ha.

2. Jessica Durrence FYE 1220 - January 14, 2010

This video is definitely an eye opener to what the world is quickly becoming. We communicate more through social media than we do through personal contact these days. I am amazed at what technology has done to our generation. Most people would not know how to function without social media. What would people do if they had to use a library or make a personal visit to someone to talk to them? I honestly believe our generation would quickly fall apart.

That was intense but not really a surprise to me. I couldn’t go a day without my phone, Ipod, Kindle, Computer and all the other little gadgets that my generation is almost if not totally dependent on.

Social media is not a fad. The way we communicate is slowing changing. The way we have been communicating has been changing since I can remember.

5. Lindsey Rowland - January 19, 2010

its kind of scary how social media is so intense now and how mostly everyone uses one type of media in their daily lives. It’s crazy how technology has become so much more.

6. Jon Adams - January 19, 2010

That video was pretty sweet. The statistics are what make it so great. I liked the amount of people that followed Ashton Kutcher and Ellen…. I’m sure there a ton more now!

7. Jordan Rohm - January 19, 2010

That’s kinda scary! Makes me feel like the Terminator is gonna happen!

8. caitlinbarth - January 19, 2010

wow… just makes you think how much people really spend/depend on social networks and media.

9. Joseph Kennedy - January 19, 2010

I agree that social media is not a fad and that it will only expand over the years. It is everywhere: in schools, work places, and government just to name a few. People must accept that fact and jump on board!

I don’t see social media as just being a fad, because it has took off and it seems almost impossible to slow it down now. The figures were surprising and makes you wonder what next.
